Position Title: Landscape Supervisor

2. POSITION SUMMARY:
To oversee landscaping, irrigation, gardening, and horticultural activities across Wasl sites. The role involves supervising service providers, ensuring proper planting and maintenance of trees, plants, and fruit trees, monitoring irrigation systems, conducting site inspections, and maintaining high-quality landscape standards.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Position-Specific Accountabilities
1. Supervise and coordinate all landscape maintenance, planting, irrigation, and horticultural activities carried out by the landscape service provider, ensuring compliance with approved scopes of work, SLAs, and quality standards.
2. Monitor the installation, maintenance, and performance of irrigation systems to ensure efficient water management, optimal plant health, and timely rectification of defects or breakdowns.
3. Oversee planting activities, ensuring proper horticultural practices are followed for trees, shrubs, ground cover, seasonal plants, and ornamental vegetation to achieve sustainable growth and landscape aesthetics.
4. Manage the cultivation, maintenance, and performance of fruit trees, vertical farming, hydroponic, and aquaponic systems, ensuring optimal growing conditions and productivity.
5. Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to assess plant health, irrigation efficiency, cleanliness, and overall asset condition, while identifying improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
6. Identify and resolve landscape-related issues, including pest infestations, plant diseases, soil deficiencies, irrigation failures, and other operational challenges to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor environments.
7. Ensure all landscape works are executed in accordance with approved specifications, contractual requirements, environmental regulations, and Wasl quality standards.
8. Monitor service provider performance, manpower deployment, materials usage, and productivity to ensure efficient service delivery and achievement of contractual KPIs.
9. Review landscape maintenance reports, inspection findings, and performance records, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of observations and defects.
10. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to plan and execute enhancement projects, seasonal planting programs, and landscape improvement initiatives.
11. Ensure all landscape activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, maintaining a safe working environment across all sites.
12. Maintain regular site presence to oversee daily operations, verify work quality, and ensure that all landscaping activities are completed without defects and in accordance with established standards.
13. Prepare periodic performance reports, improvement recommendations, and budgetary inputs to support effective landscape management and continuous improvement across Wasl properties.

6. CONTEXT, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY (DELEGATIONS):
The role requires significant on-site presence across multiple properties. The incumbent exercises judgment to resolve day-to-day service issues within company policy and escalate complex matters to the Landscape Manager. Regular inspections, site visits, and tenant engagement are essential to this position.
7. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Monitors and verify invoices for services rendered.
• Recommend payment approvals within delegated authority.
• Identifies cost reduction opportunities while maintaining service standards.
8. SELECTION CRITERIA:
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience (Essential and Desirable):
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management
Basic technical knowledge and ability to read landscape drawings is an advantage
Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office
Minimum Experience:
3–5 years’ experience in Landscape operations
Position-Specific Skills (Generic/Technical):
Experience in handling fruit trees and specialized planting requirements
Experience in handling fruit trees and specialized planting requirements
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Proven experience as a Landscape Supervisor or similar role
Strong knowledge of gardening practices, plant care, and landscape maintenance
Good understanding of irrigation systems (installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance)
Strong knowledge of fruit cultivation and horticulture practices
Strong knowledge of hydroponics, aquaponics, and irrigation systems
Strong knowledge of vertical farming and controlled environment agriculture (CEA)
Ability to identify and resolve landscaping and garden-related issues
