1. JOB DETAILS

Position Title: BPM Lead
Reports to: Head of Business Excellence

2. POSITION SUMMARY

The BPM Lead is responsible for managing and improving business processes across the organization, ensuring compliance with Business Process Management standards and supporting continuous improvement.

The role maintains the business process architecture and repository, manages process change requests, supports operational risk documentation, and promotes the adoption of BPM tools and practices. The position works with process owners and stakeholders to ensure processes are efficient, controlled, measurable, and aligned with business objectives.


3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Key Accountabilities

• Define and maintain BPM policies, standards, modelling guidelines, templates, and governance requirements
• Work with process owners to ensure business processes are aligned with organizational objectives and approved BPM standards
• Maintain the business process architecture, taxonomy, and central process repository within SAP Signavio or the approved BPM platform
• Ensure process changes are reflected in the repository within 30 days of receiving an approved change request
• Manage process change requests, approvals, version control, and supporting documentation within agreed timelines
• Lead the BPM adoption roadmap, including awareness sessions, user training, system updates, and process reviews
• Facilitate process mapping, analysis, redesign, and improvement workshops with business stakeholders
• Identify process gaps, duplication, delays, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities across departments
• Ensure operational risks and controls are documented for critical business processes within agreed implementation timelines
• Define process performance measures and monitor process efficiency, compliance, adoption, and improvement outcomes
• Assess the impact of strategies, transformation programs, systems, and organizational changes on business processes
• Benchmark priority processes against relevant industry standards and leading practices
• Maintain the BPM service portfolio, including process modelling, training, repository support, process audits, and improvement initiatives
• Prepare regular reports on BPM adoption, repository status, change requests, process performance, risks, and improvement benefits
• Engage departments, subsidiaries, front-office teams, and support functions to promote consistent BPM practices
• Support the delivery of the BPM agenda and escalate delays, governance exceptions, and major process risks to the Head of Business Excellence
• Where direct reports are assigned, allocate work, monitor performance, and support their professional development
• Perform other related responsibilities assigned by the Head of Business Excellence

6. CONTEXT, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

The role operates across a diversified organization covering real estate, asset management, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, corporate functions, and subsidiaries. It requires regular engagement with process owners and stakeholders to establish consistent process standards and support cross-functional improvements.

The role has decision-making authority over BPM modelling standards, process taxonomy, repository administration, routine change requests, process documentation, improvement analysis, and BPM reporting within the approved governance framework. Major policy exceptions, significant cross-functional process changes, unresolved ownership matters, and high-impact operational risks are escalated to the Head of Business Excellence.

The number of direct reports is to be confirmed.


7. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role does not hold direct budget ownership unless specifically delegated.

The position supports the preparation and monitoring of costs relating to BPM systems, licences, consultants, training, and process improvement initiatives. It also contributes to cost efficiency by identifying process duplication, delays, control weaknesses, and opportunities for automation or simplification.


8. SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications and Experience — Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in business process management, process modelling, process improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation
• Certification or formal training in BPMN standards
• Hands-on experience using SAP Signavio or a similar BPM platform
• Experience developing process architectures, taxonomies, modelling standards, and process repositories
• Experience facilitating process mapping, analysis, improvement, and stakeholder workshops
• Knowledge of process governance, operational risk documentation, process controls, and change management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority

Desirable:

• SAP Signavio certification or equivalent BPM platform certification
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management, Change Management, or Operational Excellence
• Experience developing enterprise-wide BPM strategies and adoption roadmaps
• Experience within real estate, asset management, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, or a diversified group
• Experience supporting digital transformation, workflow automation, or enterprise system implementation initiatives
