1. JOB DETAILS:

Position Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Hospitality
Reports to: Director of Procurment
Division: Procurement
Department: Hospitality Procurement

2. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Hospitality is responsible for consolidating spend across common hospitality categories and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to leverage scale, negotiate competitive contracts, and standardize suppliers across hotels and leisure assets. The role focuses on value creation, governance, and long‑term supplier partnerships.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Key Accountabilities:

• Identify and consolidate spend across common hospitality categories (e.g., F&B, housekeeping, amenities, FM services).
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to leverage group volumes.
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, and tenders to appoint preferred suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, SLAs, and contract structures.
• Establish group or panel contracts aligned with operational needs.
• Work closely with hotels, operations, and finance to align requirements.
• Drive measurable savings, cost avoidance, and process efficiencies.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policy and governance.

Key Technical Skills and Knowledge:

5. COMMUNICATIONS and WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

• Internal: Hospitality Operations, Hotel GM’s and Hotel Purchasing,
• External: Hospitality Suppliers, distributors, service providers.

6. CONTEXT, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

• Operates within approved procurement frameworks and delegated authority. Recommends sourcing strategies and supplier awards for management approval.

7. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Influences significant hospitality spend through consolidation and contracting.
• Accountable for delivering negotiated savings and commercial value.

8. SELECTION CRITERIA:

Qualifications and Experience (Essential):

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 7-10 years of procurement sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in hospitality.

(Desirable):

• Experience managing multi-hotel or portfolio wide sourcing initiatives.
• CIPS or equivalent professional certification.
