1. JOB DETAILS:

Position Title: IT Procurement Lead
Reports to: Senior Manager, Procurement
Division: Procurement
Department: IT Procurement

2. POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Procurement Lead is responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for IT categories, including software, hardware, cloud services, systems integrators, and IT professional services. The role focuses on cost optimization, governance, vendor performance, and alignment with IT and business stakeholders.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiations for IT categories.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and contracts teams to align procurement strategies.
• Drive cost savings, contract optimization, and demand management.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, DOA, and audit requirements.
• Manage strategic IT vendors and oversee contract performance and renewals.
• Support business cases, approvals, and executive reporting for IT spend.

Key Technical Skills and Knowledge:

5. COMMUNICATIONS and WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

• Internal: IT, Finance, Legal, Contracts, Business Units
• External: IT Vendors, system integrators, consultants, OEMs

6. CONTEXT, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

• Operates within approved procurement policies and delegated authority. Recommends sourcing strategies and supplier selections for management approvals.

7. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manages high value IT spend and contracts
• Accountable for cost savings, avoidance and commercial value.

8. SELECTION CRITERIA:

Qualifications and Experience (Essential):

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain or related field.

7-10 years of procurement experience with strong IT category exposure.

(Desirable):

Experience in large organizations or shared services environments.
