Purpose and Scope of Position:

(Job Summary)

 

To ensure the experience of the golfer utilizing our facilities is a smooth, safe and enjoyable one.

 

 

1. Main Duties:

  (Job Related Duties)  

 

 

  • To welcome players to the 1st tee and to brief them on all applicable rules and regulations of play for the day. To include advice on the GPS unit operation and daily pin location.

 

  • To pass on any complimentary giveaway items intended for any visitors to the club.

 

  • To monitor and regulate speed of play on the course to ensure rounds are completed within the agreed time guidelines.

 

  • To move/start players on others parts of the course when applicable.

 

  • To monitor cart usage in and around the course and to deal with any issues that may arise pertaining to our golf cart fleet.

 

  • To advise players to keep carts away from the mounds, sandy wastes and water hazards.

 

  • To enforce all rules and regulations set out by the Club Management.

 

  • To confidently answer any queries regarding the Rules of Golf and any local club rules.

 

  • To take a lead role in the management of all shot-gun starts. To ensure golfers bags are safely placed on the correct golf cart and that all shot-gun starts are able to commence at the designated time.

 

 

 

2. Ancillary Duties:

 

In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth.

 

Represents the department or a group in various committees, such as the Staff Committee, Green Theme (environmental), Food Committee, Sport Committee or projects. Be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.

 

 

3.  Quality Responsibilities:

 

Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

 

4.  IT Security Awareness:

  1. Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
  2. Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
  3. Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
  4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.

POSITION: STARTER MARSHALL

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
SUPPORTIVE SKILLS

Grade VIII and above.

Must possess a thorough knowledge of golfing rules and etiquette.

2 years experience in the field of golf with good command of the English language.

Presentable and friendly.

Should be an experienced golfer.

Should have strong customer skills and have the ability to deal with complaints.
