Job Purpose:

The Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of Wasl projects. Working closely with project managers, architects, and site teams. The Sr. Projects Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Scope:

Assist the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager in managing & execution of projects in a specified area ensuring delivery within time, cost & technical requirements, coordinating with contractors on matters of approvals, mobilization and schedule & commissioning and handing over to contractors and consultants.

N/A – The project budget is finalized by management and varies from project to project.

Principal Accountable’ s

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Monitor the baseline program to ensure the project adheres to the approved project schedule and prepare progress report
  • Collaborate with project managers to devise project plans, schedules, and budgets spanning all project phases from initiation to handover.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives and specifications.
  • Monitor project progression and promptly address any potential issues or delays to uphold project timelines.

 

  • Construction Oversight:
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess construction progress and adherence to quality standards.
  • Review and approve construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals.  Resolve technical issues throughout the project
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

 

  • Contract Management:
  • Assist the commercial team in formulating tenders for various PC & PS packages and provide input as needed.
  • Review contract documents and engage in negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to establish favorable terms and conditions not compromising quality.
  • Monitor project expenditures and manage budgets to effectively control costs.

 

  • Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure projects meet or surpass industry standards and client expectations.
  • Perform inspections and tests to validate compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective measures as necessary.

 

  • Client Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Address client concerns or inquiries in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed expectations.

 

  • Handover Process:
  • Facilitate and oversee the handover process, providing necessary training to ensure a smooth transition in accordance with guidelines.
  • For leasehold projects, transfer project ownership to AMSS/Hotel Operator and Property Management teams; for freehold properties, transfer to Owners, Community Management, or Sales teams.

Minimum Recruitment Requirements:

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • LEED accreditation or other sustainability certifications are advantageous.

 

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera, Power BI, and MS Office
  • Knowledge of authority regulations

Experience:
