JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position                      :           Marketing Executive – Golf & Leisure Portfolio

Job Purpose        :

 

To support and create commercially led, memorable marketing campaigns that follow the strategies set by the Viya marketing department. The role will maintain a particular focus on golf marketing across the UAE through the Viya app.

 

 

  1. Main Duties:

 

    1.  Report to Marketing & Communications Manager, responsible for everything related to golf & leisure marketing campaigns for all DG/VG Clubs.
    2. Responsible for keeping golf related social media accounts active and engaging while using management platforms such as Hootsuite and Sprinklr.
    3. Responsible for creating and implementing short and long-terms strategies, creating golf related videography and majority of photography. Creation of various golf related marketing collateral designs using Adobe programs
    4. Creation of all EDMs while continuously building up email database
    5. Produce weekly and monthly reports on marketing analytics and turn the data into readable information that shows clear conclusions.
    6. Drive further traffic to the website through the use of SEO and Google AdWords
    7.  Use initiative and benchmarking to produce ideas for club events and promotions, sharing information with managers, and develop relevant flyers, advertisements and other promotional materials, dealing with IHP, external agencies and media where required adhering to the brand guidelines at all times.
    8.   Close liaison with other departments within the club to ensure that promotions and key messages are communicated in a timely and efficient manner.
    9. Briefing in promotions to IHP, working with the designers to create artworks in various sizes and styles.  Assist the designers in generating new ideas and designs for artworks.

    1.  Produce monthly press information regarding events taking place at the club and communicate information to media and internal colleagues.

 

    1.  Produce reports for all activities undertaken with reference to measurement and ROI where appropriate.

 

    1. Responsible for the migration of the online email marketing system from iContact to MailChimp, including the design of four new templates, the export and import of the database, the grouping and segmentation of the DG list as required, integrating social media icons into the HTML templates.

 

    1. Responsible for the re-design of the Dubai Golf website, including assisting in creating the requirements for the RFP, analyzing the current website and the execution of the design and implementation of the new website.

 

    1. Coordinate film and photo shoot requests at the club with all departments concerned, to ensure that we maximum revenue from commercial shoots and achieve maximum exposure from tourism related opportunities, managing the logistics on the day of the shoot, plus keeping records in accordance with company guidelines and contracts.

 

    1.  Maintain the clubs database and CRM system, with relevant guest contact details, ensuring that records are kept up to date and that information is communicated to the right target markets at the right time, in the right way.

 

    1.  Ensure that all Front of House areas are kept up to date and stocked with all relevant club materials and literature, in coordination with reception.

 

    1. Ensure that all relevant areas of the clubs website including the member’s zone are kept up to date.

 

    1. Responsibility for updating clubs social media sites and development of social media strategy across sites including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pin interest whilst keeping updated with the latest trends to continuously develop and expand the social media presence.

 

    1. Responsible for maintaining and update Content Calendars for all social media profiles including monitoring four WhatsApp groups that are set up for generating content.  Updating social media as and when is required (including out of office hours).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    1. Presence and involvement may be required at PR events and/or golf tournaments and

       Meetings, as per direction from department head, including photography and invitation

      requirements.

 

1.23Control the administration system for Sales & Marketing, keeping files and reports up to

       date, including raising PR’s/LPO’s and invoices, media information packs, stationary, etc.

 

    1. Responsibile for managing the Club Life magazine editorial on bi-monthly basis
    2. Responsible for managing the 3rd party media buying across golf & leisure titles

 

2. Ancillary Duties:

 

In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth, as well as attending any meeting, training or seminars to help develop yourself and the club.

 

3. Quality Responsibilities:

 

Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

 

 4. IT Security Awareness:

 

 1.   Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and            procedures of wasl.

2.  Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as                 appropriate and applicable.

 

3.   Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.

 

4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.

 

POSITION: Marketing Executive – Golf & Leisure       

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

 

SUPPORTIVE SKILLS

 

 

Bachelor of any marketing or business field with 2- year relevant experience in a similar position

 

Relevant qualifications/training in areas relevant to job description.

 

 

Good command of the English language and other languages preferred. Preference to native proficiency in written and spoken English

 

 

Marketing experience in golf/ hospitality or tourism related industry is preferred

 

 

 

Excellent Computer skills, with great graphic designing skills, Digital marketing is a plus

 

 

Strong team player with strong time management skills

 

 

Excellent digital marketing expertise with a keen eye for design & detail.

 

 

 

Experience of social media management &

ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

 

 

Marketing or related degree with experience within a similar sports marketing position

 

 

Keen interest in the sports, especially golf.
