1. JOB DETAILS:

2. POSITION SUMMARY:

Dubai Golf is seeking an experienced and well-rounded IT Infrastructure Specialist to support the organization’s expanding portfolio of technology initiatives across all properties in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
This role will not be responsible for day-to-day IT operations, which are handled by the Managed Services Provider (MSP). Instead, the IT Specialist will provide infrastructure oversight and project support across the full project lifecycle; from RFP development through discovery, design, implementation, transition, and steady-state operations.

The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between internal IT teams, enterprise architects, application teams, and external vendors to ensure infrastructure readiness, compliance with standards, and smooth project delivery.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Position-Specific Accountabilities

A. Infrastructure Project Support

  • Support the execution of the overall IT infrastructure strategy in alignment with Dubai Golf’s technology roadmap and business objectives.
  • Contribute input on infrastructure improvements, innovation opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise during RFP processes for all infrastructure-related projects.
  • Support project teams during discovery, design, and execution by advising on infrastructure requirements, integrations, and dependencies.
  • Contribute to the creation and evaluation of RFPs, technical specifications, and design documents for infrastructure components.
  • Ensure all infrastructure solutions align with WASL IT standards, security policies, and architectural principles.
  • Coordinate the transition of completed projects to the Managed Services Provider (MSP) for steady-state operations.
  • Participate in infrastructure-related aspects of new business and technology initiatives (e.g., POS replacement, re-platforming, Meet & Greet experiences).
  • Work closely with DevOps and application teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for deployments, integrations, and new application rollouts.

B. Platform & Infrastructure Oversight

  • Oversee and support IT infrastructure across all golf facilities and F&B outlets, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments. Support design, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure components including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for infrastructure components supporting the Dubai Golf platforms.
  • Work with the MSP to ensure infrastructure services (compute, storage, network, cloud, etc.) meet operational and platform requirements.
  • Review and approve infrastructure changes proposed by System Integrators (SIs), ensuring compliance with architecture and cybersecurity standards.
  • Maintain an understanding of the platform’s end-to-end infrastructure topology and configuration.
  • Support cloud migration and architectural initiatives in alignment with enterprise guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with vendors for timely resolution.
  • Document configurations and maintain system health and performance reports.
  • Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure performance, reliability, and scalability across all sites.
  • Monitor infrastructure consumption and cloud usage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide input to annual IT budgets and procurement planning related to infrastructure services and projects.

C. Administration

  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions, store requisitions, petty cash requests, and online purchase orders, ensuring timely coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders for approvals and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for submission and processing of invoices, quotations, delivery notes, completion certificates, and job cards, maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
  • Support the management of IT contracts and addendums, ensuring proper documentation, renewals, and approval workflows are followed.
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of tenders, including defining technical scope, coordinating submissions, and following up with vendors to ensure compliance and timely responses.
  • Contribute to vendor evaluation and performance reviews, maintaining records and assisting in the selection and onboarding of qualified suppliers.

D. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Act as the primary liaison between the platform team, Sis, Vendors, MSP, and internal IT stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Application Teams, Vendors and DevOps to ensure integrated design and smooth project execution.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to infrastructure design standards and best practices.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes by providing infrastructure and platform context.
  • Provide visibility into infrastructure dependencies, risks, and readiness during project planning and execution.
  • Provide regular updates to the Assistant IT Manager on infrastructure status, risks, and improvement initiatives.

E. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Oversee infrastructure deliverables from System Integrators (SIs) and the Managed Services Provider (MSP), ensuring quality, timelines, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Act as the key point of contact for infrastructure-related coordination between vendors, internal stakeholders, and project managers.
  • Review and validate vendor proposals, technical documentation, and change requests.
  • Support performance reviews and service improvement plans with vendors and the MSP.
  • Oversee MSP service delivery, ensuring smooth handover of projects to operations and continuous compliance with SLAs.
  • Conduct regular service reviews, tracking performance metrics and improvement actions.

F. Performance, Reliability, Compliance and Optimization

  • Monitor and review infrastructure performance metrics and reports from the MSP; identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with the MSP to plan capacity management, scaling, and performance tuning activities.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) from an infrastructure standpoint.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and governance requirements across all infrastructure components.
  • Participate in and coordinate infrastructure lifecycle refresh, migration, and upgrade projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met in coordination with the MSP and vendors.
  • Execute and periodically test disaster recovery (DR) and backup plans to ensure operational resilience and recovery readiness.

G. Continuous Improvement & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and dependencies.
  • Contribute to the infrastructure strategy and roadmap for Dubai Golf platforms.
  • Recommend enhancements to monitoring, alerting, and automation processes used by the MSP.
  • Support periodic governance reviews of infrastructure architecture, service performance, and vendor delivery.
