Purpose and Scope of Position:

(Job Summary)

 

  • Interpreting the client's business needs with the help of senior Graphic Designer / Publishing Manager.
  • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues.
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas.
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief and meet the constraints of cost, time and client.
  • Multi-tasking: graphic designers often work on more than one design brief at a time.
  • Using a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design.
  • Producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programs.
  • Marketing Presentations for Business development purposes.
  • Working to tight deadlines.
  • Apart from the above, any jobs assigned by the Senior Graphic Designer or the Publishing Manager

 

  • General Skills
  • Able to handle the job independently with minimum supervision. 
  • Update technologically from time to time
  • Find solution to work related problems.

 

  • Very familiar with:
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • Adobe Acrobat professional / iWork softwares
  • Typography Arabic / English

 

 

 

  • Operational Management Responsibilities

 

  • Should finish the job in the specified time
  • Should follow the Standard Operating procedure of the Dept.
  • Should maintain the Departmental Decipline.
  • Quality & Related Measures

  • Should be flexible to take up any challenges in the job.
  • Never upset the Client
  •  Never try to force our design to the client
  • Be flexible and be ready to change the design till the Client approves it

 

2. Ancillary Duties:

 

In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth.

Represent the department or a group in various committees, such as the Staff Committee, Green Theme (environmental) and Food Committee, Sport Committee or projects. Be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.

 

3. Quality Responsibilities:

 

Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

 

4. IT Security Awareness:

  1. Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
  2. Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
  3. Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
  4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.

SUPPORTIVE SKILLS

Pre-University College With English

Good communicative skill

Diploma in Advertising,

Concepts of Advertising

Very good working knowledge in the following softwares :

Adobe Illustrator , Adobe Photoshop, InDesign (CS), Adobe Acrobat professional, Quak Xpress, iWork softwares.
