Responsible For:      Outside Golf Operations Services

 

 

Purpose and Scope of Position:

(Job Summary)

 

To act as a supporting mechanism to the Golf Experience Manager in delivering continuously improving golf experiences to members & visitors.

  

Job Description:

 

To act in a supervisory capacity on behalf of the Golf Experience Manager to all outside service golf operations colleagues, assisting in the monitoring & implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and Policies as outlined by the Head of Department.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensures that daily opening & closing Standard Operating Procedures are followed by Supervisors & Team Leaders.
  • Be present for team briefings and ensure that a structured briefing is in place with a clear outline of topics. I.e. AM team handover to PM team and vice versa.
  • Take preparation sheets from the Golf Services team and delegate as required to deliver member events & corporate golf days.
  • Works in golf operations as required, starter, marshall, range etc.
  • Responsible for monthly inventory and reporting of inventory issued and used to GEM and DOG.
  • Maintain stock levels of consumables such as golf tees, pencils, scorecards etc.
  • Responsible for the timely ordering of consumables to ensure a readily available supply.
  • Conduct a weekly audit on Rental Sets and submit report to GEM & DOG.
  • Report all Golf Cart Fleet damages & maintenance. This should be communicated to DOG, FM & GEM on a weekly basis.
  • To place emphasis on service standards in all checkpoints of the member/visitor journey.
  • Will be required to conduct any duties as requested by line manager or Head of Department.
  • Maintain a Golf Operations Specific report on 59Club results to identify key areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate the Colleague Caddy program during the walking season.
  • Act as liaison between Outside Golf Service attendants and Golf Experience Manager.
  • Responsible to ensure that all Golf Operations Stores are maintained in an organized and clean manner.
  • May be required to administer golf society tournaments or small groups.
  • May be required to administer certain aspects of golf tournaments.
  • May be required to conduct public speaking announcements.

 

Communication Responsibilities:

  • Submitting weekly reports as required to Head of Department and Golf Experience Manager.
  • May be required to communicate with other departments such as F&B, Banquets, Golf Academy, Engineering, IHP etc.
  • Using Golf Operations WhatsApp groups to communicate in advance key details of golf tournaments, training sessions, 59Club results, schedules etc.
  • May be required to write and prepare Golf Tournament Press releases.

 

Ancillary Duties:

 

In line with the Club’s drive for continual improvement and the involvement with General Operations, the Golf Experience Executive is required to participate in various extra activities contributing to the growth of the club culture including attendance at major golf event prize presentations and various evening functions. In addition to this the Golf Experience Executive may also be required to play in key golf events and/or Padel tournaments.

 

 

Quality Responsibilities:

 

  • Standards within the Quality Policy document and Club’s operations Manual. Achievement of quality goals. Compliance with the statement of values. This may include periodical audits and data collections.
  • To be actively involved in the Club ISO Quality Management Certification process
  • Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to adopt the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

 

IT Security Awareness:

 

  • Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl.
  • Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
  • Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
  • All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.
