Purpose and Scope of Position:

At Topgolf, our Facilities Associates support a safe, seamless, and enjoyable guest experience.

The Ball Picker is responsible for the timely collection, cleaning, and redistribution of golf balls, ensuring the outfield remains clear and all bays are consistently stocked for uninterrupted gameplay.

This role is essential to maintaining operational flow and guest satisfaction through efficient outfield and ball management activities.

1. Main Duties:

  (Job Related Duties)  

Ball Collection & Outfield Operations

1. Collect golf balls from all areas of the outfield at regular intervals
2. Operate ball picking machines and field buggies safely and efficiently
3. Ensure the field maintains minimal ball buildup to support gameplay flow

Ball Processing & Distribution

1. Load collected balls into washing systems
2. Operate ball washer and sorting equipment to separate usable and faulty balls
3. Ensure proper cleaning processes (including detergent use and ratios)
4. Refill:

1. • Ball hoppers
   • Bay ball dispensers

5. Ensure all bays are consistently stocked to required levels

Target & Field Monitoring

1. Retrieve golf balls from target zones using picking or vacuum equipment
2. Monitor targets for jams or blockages and clear them promptly
3. Perform basic field grooming activities
4. Observe turf condition and report any issues to the supervisor

Equipment Handling & Care

1. Operate and handle equipment such as:

1. • Ball picking machines
   • Ball washers
   • Field buggies
   • Field Groomer

2. Conduct basic checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition
3. Report any faults or maintenance needs promptly

Teamwork & Operations Support

1. Support the Facilities and Operations teams as required
2. Maintain professionalism and teamwork in all daily activities
3. Assist during peak periods and events to ensure smooth operations
4. Perform additional duties as assigned by Facilities Management

2. Ancillary Duties:

In line with Dubai Golf’s continual improvement and the involvement with General Operations, the Topgolf Ball Picker is required to participate in various extra activities contributing to the growth of the Topgolf culture including various evening functions.

3. Quality Responsibilities:

1. To ensure that Health, Safety, Hygiene, Food Safety and Municipality regulations are adhered to and make thorough spot checks and report any faults immediately to the Executive Chef.
2. Aware and demonstrate Dubai Golf’s Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Targets throughout serving internal and external customers.

4. IT Security Awareness:

1. Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
2. Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
3. Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.
