Role Overview The Recreation Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the club’s recreational facilities, ensuring exceptional service delivery within a safe, engaging, and well-maintained environment for members and guests. Reporting to the Assistant Country Club Manager, this role is accountable for guest-facing team performance, operational efficiency, and the consistent delivery of the club’s standards across all recreational areas. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures across all recreation areas, ensuring operational readiness at all times. • Ensure all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. • Supervise and support the Little Acres Kids Club, Lifeguards, Reception, and Housekeeping teams to deliver consistently high service standards. This will, on occasion, be in the form of a full or partial shift e.g. Kids Club shift. • Act as department Duty Manager in the absence of senior management, assuming full responsibility for club operations, member experience, and incident management. • Lead, motivate, and develop team members through daily briefings, performance management, and ongoing coaching. • Identify training needs and implement development initiatives to enhance team capability. • Deliver and continuously enhance a seamless, high-quality member experience, proactively anticipating needs and increasing engagement. • Build and maintain strong member relationships, effectively handling feedback and complaints with ownership through to resolution. • Plan and execute recreational programmes, activities, and events to drive member engagement and participation. • Drive revenue opportunities through upselling, promotions, and utilisation-focused initiatives across club services. • Play a key role in the on-day execution of Recreation related events (e.g. kids parties) – including close working relations with the Viya events team, F&B and the client themself. • Monitor facility utilisation, member feedback, and operational performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance performance and member experience. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with departmental and club objectives. • Take ownership of assigned operational areas or projects, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines. Classification: Shared - Confidential • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including regular checks, risk assessments, and emergency response. • Maintain accurate operational records, including incident reports and performance data. • Assist with scheduling and rostering to ensure optimal staffing and efficient resource allocation. • Support the Assistant Country Club Manager with ad-hoc operational and strategic tasks. Skills & Experience • Proven experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, leisure, or recreation. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. • Guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service. • Operational planning and coordination skills. • Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements. • Experience managing multi-department teams. Preferred Qualifications • First Aid certification (desirable). • Experience in a luxury or member-focused environment. • Experience working with children or delivering children’s programmes. • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
