Purpose and Scope of Position:
To perform day-to-day maintenance and servicing of all recreation areas, including but not limited to pool areas, and gum, in order to provide a recreation service to the Club members and guests, which exceeds members’ and guests’ expectations, and maintains the reputation of the Club.
1. Main Duties:
GENERIC DUTIES
- To report for duty in the recreation area as determined by the Recreation Manager.
- To maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times, wearing the complete uniform, including name badge, and maintaining good personal hygiene.
- To greet and welcome all visitors to the recreation areas of the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
- To recognize a hazardous situation and take immediate action. To solve members’ / guests’ problems, ensuring mutually agreeable solutions are reached at the earliest convenient time.
- To keep the Recreation Manager / Fitness Professional informed of members’ / guests’ problems and action taken.
- To ensure all health and safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents or injury to the Club’s members / guests and fellow workers.
To report any accident or potential hazards, including maintenance requirements, to the Recreation Manager.
- To deliver basic first aid and arrange further assistance if required for any injuries to pool visitors. Perform CPR if needed.
- To support and assist colleagues as necessary thereby contributing to a cohesive working team
- To promote all services related to recreation and provided in the club to the guests/members.
- To follow the Club’s policies, procedures and rules at all times, including the prevention of loss and / or damage to the Club’s property and / or revenue.
- To attend training course as determined by Recreation Manager and the needs of the business, including annual fire and health & safety training, in order to keep abreast of current trends / issues and develop own level of skills to offer the highest level of teaching.
- To cover GYM area when necessary
POOL DUTIES
- To request all pool visitors to sign the guest book on arrival, check the details if appropriate and document it .If not appropriate (non member),request identification and issue a day pass ticket (if not obtained) Report any unauthorized use to the Recreation Supervisor / Recreation Manager.
- To clean, distribute and set up poolside furniture according to members and guests needs, clearing all sun bed cushions at the end of the day.
- To assist pool visitors with menus, ensuring refreshments are available in a clean and hygienic manner.
- To distribute towels frequently to meet members’ / guests’ needs.
- To add chlorine and pool chemicals on a daily basis and to test water levels 3 times per day. Record the readings and file them.
- To check and maintain filtration pumps and valves.
- To vacuum, clean the pools, backwash, wash the pool deck, clean the skimmers on daily basis, ensuring that these areas are clean and tidy at all times.
2. Ancillary Duties:
In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth.
Represents the department or a group in various committees such as the Staff Committee. Be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.
3. Quality Responsibilities:
Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.
4. IT Security Awareness:
- Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
- Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
- Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
- All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.
