Purpose and Scope of Position:

(Job Summary)

 

To ensure that the golf balls are picked on a regular interval from all areas of the field. Attend to all other requests, as assigned by his supervisors in accordance with the departmental standards.

 

1. Main Duties:

  (Job Related Duties)  

 

General

  1. To pick golf balls by using buggy with the ball picking machine from all areas of the Field on a regular interval and as and when required to ensure that the field is clear of golf balls to a minimum quantity.
  2. To carryout regular retrieval of golf balls from the Target by using buggy with the golf ball vacuum machine ball picking machine.
  3. To carryout regular monitoring of the Targets thru the Maintenance Monitor for any golf ball jam and remove the jammed golf ball from the baffle box.
  4. To load all collected golf balls for washing into the soaker, ensure that proper water/detergent ratio is filled in the ball soaker. 
  5. To operate the ball washer and raptor for golf ball washing and segregation of good and faulty balls.
  6. To ensure that the hopper is filled with good golf balls and operate the blower to transfer the golf balls to the hoppers on the upper floors.
  7. To fill the rolling thunder and fill all Bay Ball Dispensers with golf balls up to the limit line and all locks are secured.
  8. Record all faulty balls into the record book.
  9. To carryout field grooming on regular interval or as and when required. Observe condition of the field turf and report to the Supervisor of any discrepancies found. 
  10. To carryout lubrication of the Target Augers on regular interval.
  11. To ensure punctual attendance at work of all employees.
  12. To inspect regularly the function and safe operation of all equipment including buggy’s under his jurisdiction and report to the Supervisor of any discrepancies found.
  13. To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
  14. Topgolf is a part of EGC and the Ball Picker if required will be asked to work at the Club.
  15. Any other duties assigned by the Facilities Lead/Asst. Facilities lead.
  16. Participate in Topgolf-Dubai emergency response team.
  17. Participate in the control of all heat, light and power equipment according to the need and demand of the Topgolf-Dubai and the external weather condition
  18. To ensure cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
  19. To ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform of subordinates, particularly when working in guest areas.

 

2. Ancillary Duties:

 

In line with the Dubai Golf’s continual improvement and the involvement with General Operations, the Ball Picker is required to participate in various extra activities contributing to the growth of the Topgolf-Dubai including various evening functions.

 

 

3. Quality Responsibilities:

 

  1. Aware and demonstrate Dubai Golf’s Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Targets throughout serving internal and external customers.

 

4. IT Security Awareness:

  1. Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
  2. Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
  3. Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
  4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.
