Responsible For : FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE TEAM MEMBERS
Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Assistant Hospitality Manager (AHM) - Food & Beverage supports the Hospitality Manager in delivering exceptional Guest experiences through outstanding food and beverage service. The role is responsible for supervising daily operations, leading assigned shifts, coaching team members, and ensuring service standards are consistently achieved.
The AHM serves as a Manager on Duty (MOD) for assigned shifts and plays an active role in the day-to-day execution of Food & Beverage operations. Working closely with the Hospitality Manager and venue leadership team, the AHM helps drive operational excellence, team engagement, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company standards.
The role focuses primarily on operational execution, shift leadership, coaching, guest interaction, and maintaining service quality while supporting broader departmental objectives established by the Hospitality Manager.
Main Duties:
(Job Related Duties)
Guest Experience
- Deliver and support the highest level of Guest Experience throughout all Food & Beverage areas.
- Build positive and memorable experiences through proactive guest engagement.
- Assist the Hospitality Manager in executing Guest-focused initiatives and service improvement programs.
- Conduct regular table touches to assess guest satisfaction.
- Resolve guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery opportunities promptly and professionally.
- Support venue events, promotions, tournaments, and activations by ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Lead by example in demonstrating hospitality, professionalism, and Topgolf values.
Manager on Duty Responsibilities
- Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts.
- Remain visible and present within assigned venue sections throughout the shift.
- Maintain radio communication and respond promptly to operational requirements.
- Monitor service flow, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and team performance.
- Conduct regular floor walks to ensure standards are maintained.
- Support opening and closing procedures for the venue and assigned outlets.
- Complete shift notes and communicate important operational updates to incoming managers.
- Assist with cash handling controls, void approvals, service recoveries, and other authorized duties.
- Monitor Guest and team member safety at all times.
- Ensure operating standards are consistently maintained across assigned areas.
Food & Beverage Operations
- Support the daily operation of restaurants, lounges, bars, and service stations.
- Ensure service standards, sequence of service, and operational procedures are properly executed.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, beverage standards, and service consistency.
- Ensure outlet readiness through proper setup, cleanliness, and organization.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, stock control, and supply replenishment.
- Support departmental audits and operational inspections.
- Coordinate with Culinary teams to ensure seamless food production and service delivery.
- Assist with labor deployment and shift assignments based on business levels.
- Monitor operational standards and communicate opportunities for improvement to the Hospitality Manager.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, coach, and support Food & Beverage colleagues during assigned shifts.
- Assess performance and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
- Recognize and celebrate outstanding team performance.
- Identify development opportunities and communicate training needs.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
- Support colleague engagement and create a positive working environment.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration across departments.
- Assist with maintaining discipline and operational accountability in accordance with company policies
Business Performance & Operational Excellence
- Anticipate and respond to changing business levels and operational trends.
- Monitor speed of service, guest wait times, and service consistency.
- Support labor productivity and staffing efficiency goals.
- Assist in managing departmental costs through proper operational controls.
- Execute operational tasks assigned by the Hospitality Manager, including:
- Inventory counts
- Organization initiatives
- Supply ordering
- Equipment audits
- Operational checklists
- Support implementation of venue initiatives, promotions, and service enhancements.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Monitor guest and team member safety throughout assigned shifts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety standards.
- Conduct inspections of guest-facing and operational areas.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and operational risks.
- Assist with emergency procedures and incident response when required.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and operational audits.
- Ensure company policies and standard operating procedures are followed consistently.
2. Ancillary Duties:
In line with the Club’s strive for continuous improvement, you may be requested to participate in various extra activities contributing towards individuals and organizational growth.
Represent the department or a group in various committees, such as the Staff Committee, Green Theme (environmental), Food Committee, Sport Committee or projects. Be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.
3. Quality Responsibilities:
Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.
4. IT Security Awareness:
- Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl DG.
- Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
- Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
- All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.
