JOB DESCRIPTION

 Position: Accountant Department: Finance

 

Purpose and Scope of Position (Job Summary)

  • Review and verify invoices and post them into SAP. “Review, verify the invoices and post into SAP.”

  • Set invoices up for payment.

  • Prepare payments in SAP and upload them to the bank.

  • Monitor supplier ageing and follow up.

  • Reconcile SAP with Supplier Statements of Account (SOA).

  • Assist in month‑end closing.

  • File documents properly as per company policy.

  • Seek performance improvements in operations and implement changes when required.

  • Coordinate with other departments and suppliers.

  • Ensure all deadlines are met on time.

  • Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded.

  • Attend and resolve operational queries and disputes.

  • Liaise with auditors when required.

  • Pass daily credit card entries.

  • Prepare monthly VAT reports.

 

Job Responsibilities

A. Suppliers

  • Review, verify, and post invoices into SAP. “Review, verify the invoices and post into SAP.”

  • Set invoices up for payment.

  • Prepare payments in SAP and upload to the bank.

  • Monitor supplier ageing and follow up.

  • Reconcile SAP with supplier SOA.

B. Sales Commission

  • Check and validate commission claims.

  • Prepare commission payment vouchers and upload them to the bank.

C. General Ledger & Balance Sheet

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare schedules.

D. Petty Cash

  • Upload petty cash payments to the bank after Finance Manager’s approval.

  • Send debit advice to Transguard for cash delivery.

E. General

  • Prepare year‑end audit requirements.

  • Provide all statements and information requested by auditors.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Financial Manager.

  • Attend to general queries and provide solutions as needed.

 

2. Ancillary Duties

  • Participate in improvement activities contributing to individual and organizational growth.

  • Represent the department in committees such as Staff Committee, Green Theme, Food Committee, Sports Committee, or other projects.

  • May be trained as a Fire Marshal or First Aider.

 

3. Quality Responsibilities

  • Be aware of Dubai Golf’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

  • Apply the 4 Service Steps when serving internal and external customers.

 

4. IT Security Awareness

  • Read, understand, and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures.

  • Cooperate and share information with internal and external audit teams.

  • Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the IT Department.

  • Immediately report any information security breaches, weaknesses, or incidents to the IT Service Desk.
